Your Special Day
Patrick's Cabaret is a wonderful place to host your wedding or commitment ceremony ~ traditional or avant garde ~ a large (120) or small (18) group ~ straight or queer. Unlike most wedding venues, you CAN bring in your own food to Patrick’s Cabaret ~ from the caterer of your choice to a simple potluck meal. You can also use the florist, musicians or DJ of your choice. Unfortunately, we do not have any liquor licensing and cannot have any alcohol on our premises. Our theater lobby has large counters, a sink, and a refrigerator for serving and storing food and drink.
Need a Celebrant?
Patrick’s Cabaret Founder and Artistic Director, Patrick Scully, is an ordained minister, licensed to perform marriages in the State of Minnesota. For $185 Patrick will perform your non-rehearsed wedding ceremony, with planning by phone and email. Or for $295 your celebration includes planning meeting(s) and wedding ceremony rehearsal at the cabaret.
Costs
The cost for renting Patrick’s Cabaret for wedding and commitment ceremonies and / or receptions starts at $500 for 5 hours. We also require a $200 damage deposit. This gives you a generous two hours to prep the space, an hour and a half to hold the event, and an hour and a half to return the space to its original condition. Each additional hour costs $50.
The rental of the second floor is an additional $50, and includes the use of two more bathrooms, and another kitchen area with refrigerator and sink. (Please note: We have no stove, but we do have a microwave oven.) These additional areas are great spaces for the celebration participants to dress and prepare themselves and from which to make a grand entrance.

For Your Guests
Patrick’s Cabaret has plenty of comfortable seating for your wedding ceremony and enough tables for 35 at a sit down dinner. (You could rent additional tables elsewhere.) We also have a PA system to make announcements or to amplify the voice of a soloist. You can either bring in your own DJ or play CD's or IPOD music on our sound system. We have a 1920's Baby Grand piano that is often used for live music during ceremonies.
Affordability
One reason the Cabaret is so affordable for wedding rentals, is that YOU the renter, are responsible for cleaning up the space immediately after your wedding reception or commitment ceremony. We recommend that the soon-to-be-joined arrange to have some dedicated friends or family for this. We will provide you a check-list of things that need to be done. Four to six people can usually complete the tasks in 60-90 minutes.
Reserving the Space
- Plan ahead. Weekends are generally booked 3-4 months in advance. Check the calendar to gauge availability.

- Fill out the Online Rental Application Form.
- To secure the date and time for your celebration on our calendar, you will need to sign a rental agreement and pay the rental fee in full in advance.
