Lisa Marie Brimmer is a queer, black, transracial adoptee artist and writer. Her most recent published work has been included in multiple local anthologies: Walk Towards It an anthology of urgent writing released on inauguration day, 2017, Whisked: Cooking up Community and Fierce Lament. She is a co-editor of the forthcoming Queer Voices of Minnesota Anthology with John Medeiros and Andrea Jenkins (2019). Her critical and poetic work was recently presented at Split This Rock! (2018), and The Center for Multi-Ethnic Studies: Europe and the Americas in Graz, Austria (2018). She currently serves as the Interim Co-Executive Director of The Cedar Cultural Center on the West Bank.
