What's next for the Cabaret?

Dear Friends of Patrick's Cabaret,
We're down to our final week in the firehouse that has been home to Patrick's Cabaret for the last 16 years and, while bittersweet, we're excited to update you about our plans for the near future...
New Office
The new Patrick's Cabaret office and homebase will be at Intermedia Arts' co-working community ArtsHub. We're thrilled to join other amazing arts and social change organizations like the Givens Foundation for African American Literature, Green Card Voices, and Line Break Media, among others.
Want to help us move at any point THIS Saturday between 3-7pm? Please connect with our volunteer coordinator Mike Curran at mcurran@macalester.edu. It'll be pretty easy, and you'll get snacks and beverages for our appreciation.
Summer Research Project
Thanks to Cabaret artist and Macalester Theater Department Chair Harry Waters, Jr., we will be working with two researchers over the summer toimagine a future creative ecosystem that better sustains art and artists. This work will directly inform how we build Patrick's Cabaret going forward. Stay tuned for opportunities to participate in interviews, surveys, and creative artist-driven ways to engage in the conversation.
A Bright Future Ahead
We are also excited to announce that we have been selected to participate in the next iteration of ArtsLab, an innovative program that will unite a select group of small to mid-sized performing arts organizations to conduct big-picture strategic planning about our business model.
We have also been awarded a Management Consulting grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council to create a strategic operations plan to prepare us to weather our recent changes. The timing couldn't be better for both of these opportunities.
We will soon be seeking new Board and Advisory Committee membersto be part of an exciting future. Shoot me an email at scott@patrickscabaret.org if you're interested in learning more about how you can be part of the Cabaret's circle of leadership.
Gone Fishin' for June
However, before all the excitement of the rest of 2016, we're going to be taking a breather during the month of June. Thank you for your patience as we close our office for the month of June to refresh our energies and get ready to dive back in starting in July.
Resuming Events this Fall
This fall, we will resume programming, so stay tuned to hear about upcoming opportunities to participate as an artist and audience member.
Thank you ALL for your support and have a happy summer!

With much appreciation,
Scott Artley
Executive Artistic Director
