PRESENTING OUR 2016 FALL SEASON

I'm thrilled to announce our 2016 Fall Season with you today, because it almost didn't happen. Losing our building this spring meant we faced extinction of a very real kind.

But, amidst all that chaos, the 2016 Spring Season at the Cabaret demonstrated just how vital a platform like Patrick's Cabaret is to this community. This spring we saw an amazing collection of events, and in just the first five months of the year we served 277 artists, including 56% artists of color, 66% women, 45% youth, 25% queer, 8% with disabilities, and served as an early, perhaps first, professional stage for a whopping 219 (79%) emerging artists.

Thanks to the support of donors, grantors, audiences, ARTISTS, people just like YOU, Patrick's Cabaret is a site of new beginnings - even our own. This summer we wrapped ourselves in a cocoon, readying for transformation, and we emerge today unfolding our wings with a calendar of events that inspire learning, rage, and humor, all necessary ingredients for revolution. Whether as an artist embracing new calls to perform, or an audience member seeking us out in new venues, join us as we reclaim our radical roots by, for the first time in 18 years, being rootless.

Onward!
Scott Artley
Executive Artistic Director

P.S. Not sure what we're talking about? Patrick's Cabaret lost the building? Didn't the Cabaret close? Catch up with our spring saga by reading our announcement about losing our building, and our plans for the future. Then check out how we're conceiving of our work going forward with the mantra: "Out of the Firehouse, Into the Fire!"
