Performance Agreement How To Perform At Patrick's Performance Agreement Marketing Your ShowDear Cabaret Artists, Here is our basic agreement: We provide you with a nice place to perform, and assist with marketing your show. You agree to bring us your best creative effort, and to bring us an audience, your audience. You get paid for your efforts. First, your art: First and most important is to work on your performance. Please plan to do up to, but not more than, 15 minutes worth of material. You get to do whatever you want in your time, but do not exceed your time limit. A digital clock will be in your sight during your performance. Thanks, it’s essential to the flow of the show. Second, the money: There are two ways you can make money performing at Patrick’s Cabaret.
So, when someone you have sold a ticket arrives, they just hand the ticket to the usher. Advance tickets are available only through you, the performers. With this new system, over half of the tickets sold are advance tickets, sold by performers. Tickets at the door now cost $8. If you have any questions about this, call me. To help prevent counterfeiting, please sign each ticket at the time you sell it. This is on the honor system, these are not free tickets to be given away. We do not give out comp tickets, but we need volunteers for every show. If you know of someone who is unable to pay, have them call April to volunteer at the cabaret. Third, your audience: To make Patrick’s Cabaret work financially, we need you to be able to get at least 20 people to come to see you. Putting together a great show really pays off when we have a full house. Part of your job is to get people to the show. As my old buddy Dean J Seal says : “The number one reason people come to the show is because they know someone in it. It's up to each performer to let their family, friends and co-workers know about the event. Remember, a show without an audience is just a rehearsal." How do I do this?” See Marketing Your Show. Fourth, the day of the show: On Friday night please arrive here between 5:30pm and 6:30pm depending on your tech needs. The more complicated your tech, the earlier you need to be here. The program order is decided on Friday night as performers arrive. Plan to be here with all of your cast for the whole show. Each night creates a unique sense of community. It is important for performers to stay for the entire event and be available for the audience during intermission and afterward. If you have special set up needs/questions call Marc in advance (612-724-6273 ext 1). You can arrange with Marc to do your tech in advance. Otherwise all tech happens on Friday before the show. Feel free contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss anything about your performance. The staff, board, and audience of Patrick’s Cabaret look forward to having you perform here.
