Dameun Strange is a Sound Artist based in the Twin Cities area with an eclectic taste in music. He believes music is the greatest tool to create social change. Dameun grew up in Washington, DC, where he started on his journey with music and sound at a very young age. He was fortunate to have grown up exposed to many different styles of music influenced by the vibrant culture represented in the Mid Atlantic Area. He has since been fascinated with the idea of exploring the outer limits of music and fusing them into a style that is uniquely his.

THE SUMMER COATS aims to create a unique sound and look that defies genres and will be offering our original songs during the evening that fuse a singer-songwriter mentality with rhythmic dance. The group is made of singer-songwriter Chase Daniel Burkhart on guitar and vocals, and dancer-singer Molly Kay Stoltz on tap board, vocals, tambourine, French horn, and ukulele.

SEE MORE PERSPECTIVE is an MC, Producer, Spoken Word Poet, and Social Justice Educator. His work explores identity, culture, social justice, mythology, science fiction, spirituality, and the paranormal. BrassZilla - formed from the horn section of Chooglin' - now shines alone with originals by "Hitmaker" Hal Longley and reworked music for brass.

Erin Livingston is a singer/songwriter, cabaret artist and teacher here in the Twin Cities.  She has performed at venues such as The Loring Pasta Bar, Sawatdee restaurants, Arnellias, Shanghai Bistro, Reve, Crooners and more.  She also shares her music at senior centers around town.  She teaches classical flute and vocal coaching out of her home studio in South Mpls.

Binary Canary, a laptop and woodwind duo hailing from Minneapolis, Ted Moore and Jeffery Kyle Hutchins began collaborating in 2013, creating solo and chamber concert works. As this collaboration evolved, the results became increasingly improvisatory and technologically interactive. The musical vocabulary that developed as a result of this co-performer/co-composer exploration became the basis for Binary Canary.

Karen Folman is an up and coming singer-songwriter, from Saint Paul, Minnesota, who’s been performing her original music at open mic nights and showcases throughout the Twin Cities since 2003. Her style encompasses contemporary folk, pop, and soul, but not limited to. Karen’s soulful voice and her poetic lyrics are authentic, emotional, and real. Her music appeals to a variety of generations, as she spreads a universal message and vision of hope.

As an improvisational artist, Queen Drea uses the energy of each night to give her set life, creating a special bond with each new audience.

 

LaDonna Funderburke is a Kansas City native.  She is a local fashion designer who grew up singing gospel and jazz.  She uses music as a way to channel healing and creativity. Her love for music, poetry and fashion has given her the opportunity to bring theatrical fashion to the stage. "I believe that fashion, music and poetry are connected in a way that creates a soundtrack to who you are."

Peggy Darrett Brewer has been singing and performing for over 20 years.  Peggy began singing in her church choir as a little girl in Evansville, Indiana.  She was in her first band at 16 were she sang R&B.  After moving to from Indiana to Minneapolis she fell in love with theatre and began working with Danielle Daniel’s theatre company.
